OPIA is working on revising the various courses that we have, this in response to the introduction of the new code in January of 2007.

Part 7 Venting Course
The venting course is ready for presentations.
- this three day Course developed by OPIA is designed to familiarize plumbers, apprentices, inspectors, etc. on the requirements and concepts of venting regulations in the 2006 Ontario Building Code, Part 7.

There will be a Venting Course held on February 19,21,26 and 28th, 2008 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Cost will be $210. The registration form is now available

Intermediate Plumbing
- a 5 day course developed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing designed to give the student an understanding of plumbing science and to assist the inspector in making decisions during the inspection process. The course covers all aspects of Part 7 as they apply to buildings within the scope of Part 9.

Plumbing Refresher Course
- 18 hour Course designed to update plumbers, apprentices, inspectors, etc. on the requirements of Part 7 of O,B.C.

Drainage Pipe Sizing
- a ½ day short study on the Part 7 requirements for sizing drainage piping and drainage systems

Indirect Wastes
- a ½ day short study on the Part 7 requirements for indirect wastes

Building Plumbing Inspection
- a 4 day course developed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to familiarize the student with the administrative, technical and enforcement processes of Part 7, O.B.C.as well as inspection techniques and procedures as they apply to residential Part 9.

Water Supply and Waste Disposal
- a 4 day course developed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing designed to familiarize the student with the requirements of the regulation Part 7, as it applies to exterior services and underground drainage piping within the scope of Part 9.
